In South Africa, 32 students have been given the opportunity to study in China. They're pursuing qualifications in various fields, including engineering, business, economics and Mandarin studies. The government has held a special send-off for them at the Chinese Embassy in Pretoria. CCTV's Yolisa Njamela has the story.
The Southern African Scholarship Fund aims to help the development of South Africa by funding Southern African Scholars on courses which directly benefit the wider community when they return home. To date, the fund has supported trainee teachers, engineers, doctors and nurses. Your support will help provide a scholarship to a student from South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique or Angola.
